Mr Dalla-Riva is the Liberal Party's Shadow Minister for Industry & State Development as well as Shadow Minister for Major Projects and the State Member for the Eastern Metropolitan Region.
A whole day was devoted to visiting with Metaltec, Ronson Gears, Marand Precision Engineering and ANCA - all Victorian members of AMAus.
It was part of a fact-finding mission for Mr Dalla-Riva on the state of the industry and more importantly its members.
Each company was selected because it represented a variation on the theme of advanced manufacturing with two, more mainstream, large manufacturers in Metaltec and Marand, a gear manufacturer and a machine manufacturer in ANCA.
